Frassati Young Adult’s Lumen events is when we come together to enlighten our minds, hearts, and spirits. We meet on a Thursday nights at UW Newman (usually twice a month) for a presentation, followed by chanting Compline/night prayer in the chapel, followed by social time with some drinks and food in Frassati Lounge.

This Thursday (our last Lumen meeting until September), we’ll have our longtime Frassati Member Mike Jones some to speak about a topic of interest of his:

“In this talk, I will be evaluating instances of God commanding violence in the Old Testament as a particularly problematic subtype of the problem of evil, and proposing ways we can understand and reconcile this with our knowledge of God as all-loving and good, His commandment not to kill, etc.”
