Join us for a beautiful hike at Heather Lake on Saturday June 13, 2026. This is a moderate hike with a good elevation gain with spectacular views of Mt. Pilchuck. This hike goes through the forest and around the lake with some great classic PNW lush greenery.
Fr. Nathaniel Maria Mayne, O.P will be celebrating Mass for us at the top and we will eat lunch before heading back to the trailhead.
We will meet at the trailhead at 9:15 am (recommended 7:45am departure time from Seattle) and be back in Seattle around 4:30pm.
Details
This is a moderate difficulty hike. It is 5 miles round trip with roughly 1,200 feet of elevation gain. The path is fairly rocky and has parts with tree roots as well. There are a couple of switch backs at the beginning. The higher up there are more rocks and roots on the path. Expected hiking time is about 4 hours out and back. We will stop for an hour at the lake for Mass and lunch after. You can expect to be back in Seattle around 4:30pm.
Join us every second Saturday of the month at UW Newman for a beautiful evening of worship and fellowship!
Come join Frassati Loves Seattle for our monthly event! We'll be working together to make sandwiches for St. Francis House of Seattle (https://www.stfrancishouseseattle.org) at the Newman Center. The organization cares for the working poor/ homeless by a variety of activities, one of which is free sandwiches. Our goal will be to make 400 sandwiches!! If you are able, feel free to bring bread, lunch meats, and/or cheese! There will be enough supplies to make 200 sandwiches. Last month we made, 310+ sandwiches!
This Lumen event will feature a Q&A panel of five priests from diverse backgrounds, representing both the Eastern and Western Catholic Churches. Panelists include Fr. Marcin Szymanski, O.P., Fr. Colin Parrish, and Fr. Joseph Park, O.S.B.
The intention of this panel is not necessarily to focus on theologically heavy questions or apologetics, but rather to provide young adults with insight into the daily lives, vocations, routines, joys, challenges, and experiences of priests.
The panel will begin with a guided discussion around three prepared questions, giving each priest the opportunity to share his own background and current ministry. After this structured discussion, the evening will move into general audience Q&A.
Join us for a beautiful First Saturday Rosary Pilgrimage Walk on Saturday, July 4th, beginning after the 8:30am Blessed Sacrament Mass. We will meet at the Baptismal Font immediately after Mass, then depart around 9:15am (depending on when Mass ends) to begin our pilgrimage.
We will journey together from Blessed Sacrament to Ravenna Park, prayerfully walking and meditating on all four Mysteries of the Rosary—a sacred time of about 75 minutes immersed in prayer, nature, and community — ending around 10:30am.
