OCIA stands for Order of Christian Initiation of Adults. It’s the program and process by which adults are introduced to the Catholic faith and invited to profess it through participation in the Sacraments such as Baptism, First Eucharist, Confession, and Confirmation.
OCIA and Confirmation combined classes are held annually for interested individuals, and are always highly rated by participants. It’s a powerful way to deepen your faith in Christ and His Church, as well as your intellectual understanding of the Catholic faith.
OCIA during the 2026-2027 academic year begins October 13th 2026 at the Newman Center. Classes are held each Tuesday of the school year (with the exception of finals weeks and winter/spring breaks) through late May, from 7pm-9pm at the Newman Center (exact meeting room TBD).
