Join us on Saturday, January 28th for snowshoeing on the Granite Lakes Trail! This is a moderate, uphill hike about 8.5 miles round-trip to two beautiful lakes.
Meet at the UW Newman Center at 7:15 AM, and we will depart at 7:30 AM. The drive is about 1 hour, and we should arrive back at 4 pm.
Weather-depending, Fr. Chrysostom will celebrate Mass for us by the lake! Please dress accordingly with waterproof boots/shoes, appropriate pants (not jeans), wool socks, hat/toque, gloves, waterproof jacket, and layers. Bring plenty of water, a snack, a lunch, snowshoes, and trekking poles.
You are responsible for bringing your own snowshoes. If you do not own a pair of snowshoes, you can easily rent one from REI for $20, or from UW school for $18.
We will reassess the weather and trail conditions a couple of days before the hike and email if we switch to a different (but similar) hike.
