Join us for a beautiful hike on Annette Lake on Saturday, May 18th. Waterfalls, wildflowers, sheltering forests, mountain views and an alpine lake are offered on this well-maintained trail. The trailhead is about one hour away from Blessed Sacrament. We will be meeting at Blessed Sacrament in the parking lot at 7:45 AM and plan to leave promptly by 8:00 AM. If you plan on meeting us at the trailhead, please plan on arriving there by 9:30 AM. Note that we will start hiking promptly at that time, so please plan to get there before then. The hike is called Annette Lake Trail and is rated as moderate according to WTA and is 6.6 miles long with 1,978 feet of elevation gain (~300 ft/mi elevation gain average). Per usual, Fr. Chrysostom will celebrate Mass at the top as well! You can expect to be back at Blessed Sacrament around 4:00 PM.
Please be prepared with good hiking boots, plenty of water, a lunch, snacks, and waterproof clothing/layers in case of rain/mud. If you are carpooling, please consider giving your driver $5-$10 for gas via Venmo or in cash. If you plan to drive your car to the trailhead, please note that this park requires a Northwest Forest Pass, which can be purchased online for $30. Once everyone is signed up, we will follow up with the drivers to make sure all have this pass.
Hope to see you on the trail!
