The theme of this year’s young adults retreat is Identity: Called to Greatness.
The Holy Spirit has called us to be sons and daughters of God; a new identity, and with it, a challenge to seek greatness with profound humility. ‘For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a Spirit of power, and love, and self-control…” (1 Tm 7). With St. Thomas Aquinas as our guide, we will examine how Catholics are challenged to greatness by Christ (even in Seattle!), but must use the balancing virtues of humility and magnanimity along the way.
