Like Theology on Tap, Lumen is when we come together at Newman to hear a speaker talk, but we also chant night prayer, and then head upstairs for a pint of beer and some food (or non-alcoholic beverage). Evening begins at 7pm and ends usually around 10pm.

This Lumen, we’ll hear from Dr. Elanor Shah, who will speak on “Reconciling Evolution with the Biblical Account of Creation:

Can Catholics believe in evolution? Are the scriptural accounts of creation in conflict with modern science? This talk will explore these questions and present an argument for how reconciling creation and evolution is not only possible, but can indeed give us a deeper understanding of God's work in creation.”
