Lumen Speaker & Pub Series: Theo Suciu on "Martyred in the Age of Communism: The Legacy of Romania's Greek Catholic Bishops"

  • Prince of Peace Catholic Newman Center 4502 20th Avenue Northeast Seattle, WA, 98105 United States (map)

Like Theology on Tap, a Lumen event is when we listen to and discuss a local young adult or invited speaker, but we also add chanted night prayer (or “Compline”); this is followed by sharing a refreshing pint of beer together and snacks (or non-alcoholic beverage). The speaker begins at 7pm sharp and the pub social ends usually around 10pm. Speak to a Frassati council member at the event if you are interested in joining the Lumen volunteer team to help with food and/or set-up.

Speak to a Frassati council member at the event if you are interested in joining the Lumen volunteer team to help with food or and set up. Our first Lumen event will be given by one of our new directors of Lumen, Theo Suciu, who will speak about his great uncle who is a beatified matryr, Bl. Ioan Suciu, and 6 other martyered bishops from Romania.

Note: If you plan to leave before 10PM and don't want to get blocked in, park at UW parking lot N5 (5 min walk away).
