Join other young adults and come to UW Newman for an inspiring talk by Dr. Matthew Thomas, author and biblical professor, on how to read sacred scripture. Dr. Thomas’ own specialty covers Pauline theology, Patristics, and Early Christian interpretation of Scripture, which he will bring to bear on this important topic; whether you are experienced or a novice in reading scripture, Dr. Thomas will lay out the principles on how to read the Word of God.
Like Theology on Tap, Lumen is when we come together at Newman to hear a speaker talk, but we also chant night prayer, and then head upstairs for a pint of beer and some food (or non-alcoholic beverage). Evening begins at 7pm and ends usually around 10pm.
