They both ran, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first” John 20: 4
Don’t be like Peter, be like John and work out those legs! Join (or volunteer to help) Frassati and Newman on a breathtakingly beautiful half marathon on March 12. We are 4 weeks away, but if you already jog and can run around 8 miles at a slow comfortable pace, then there is enough time for you to get in shape and train for this truly spectacular half-marathon just an hour and a half north of Seattle. See the website
To participate, first register for the marathon on their website, and then fill out this form.

How to train. Training for a half marathon is not as rigorous as training for a full; and there are a lot of resources to help you. I highly suggest downloading the free Nike Run app on your smartphone, and using their half-marathon training (look under Training Plans). Just enter the date of the marathon, and it will automatically calculate how much and what kind of exercises you should be doing per week to train, and will take into account how many days you have to do it. The minimum suggested is to run three times a week: one long but slow run (which should increase in time every week leading up to the event), plus one regular run, and third, either a short but very fast run (usually with intervals of sprinting for a min, then slow jog for three), or a regular run but uphill. If you can commit to that, you can do the marathon.
