Hope for the Poor Mexico Mission

  • Prince of Peace Catholic Newman Center 4502 20th Avenue Northeast Seattle, WA, 98105 United States (map)

Join/support one of our inspirational and wonderful Frassati members, Katie Edwards, who is returning this February to do missionary work with the poor around Mexico City and will be joined by three Frassati members, including Fr. Chrysostom! You may either donate here (even $25 helps!) or ask to come with us by emailing frassati@uwnewman.org, but do this ASAP since we are getting close to the day of departure.

We will be working with an organization called Hope For The Poor, which Katie has worked with numerous times in the past. Hope for the Poor seek to help the poorest of the poor, and makes a real impact in the lives the people they serve.
Hope of the Poor says their mission is to “… work with the poor. Our mission field is drug-addicted street kids, homeless families, and people who live at the city dump. We bring hope to the rejected, the lonely, and the unloved. We feed the poor, rent homes to take families off the street and work with employers to find them jobs. But we don’t stop there. Mother Theresa often said the greatest poverty is being unloved. We want to inspire all generations to radically love and bring hope to the hopeless.” For more information, see their website: https://hopeofthepoor.org.
