On Saturday, November 20th, the Newman Social Justice Team and other volunteers will be helping out for a food drive event by handing out fliers. It is necessary to get a list of volunteers, so if you want to come please fill out this form. The deadline to sign up is Monday, November 15th.
Here is some more information:
Volunteers will meet at City People Hardware Store (5440 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105) between 9:45 and 10am on Saturday morning November 20th. You can go there directly, but volunteers could also meet at the Newman Center between 9:15 and 9:30 where we will head down together. From there, we will split up in groups of 2-3 and drive (or walk) to different homes putting fliers on doors or under mats (we cannot put them in mailboxes). Route maps will be provided. If a group finishes early, they will join another group and help them finish distributing fliers. The event is from 10:00-12:00, and volunteers must be able to commit to these couple of hours.
