It begins with prayer

Last week we started talking about who and what God is and how does one cultivate that relationship with God. As Fr. Raphael Mary would say, in order to know God and to understand him more fully, begins with prayer (and yes we have a class for that).

Everyday americancatholic.org posts a one-minute mediation which is a great way to either begin praying for the day, gives you something to think about while praying, and/or inspire you to write something in your journal. Alternatively, the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) has an online bible and daily readings posted on their website too. Below is today's gospel reading and something to pray and think about. Happy Praying!

Jesus said, "What is the Kingdom of God like?
To what can I compare it?
It is like a mustard seed that a man took and planted in the garden.
When it was fully grown, it became a large bush
and the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches." - Luke 13:18
