Now that Welcome Week is over and the first week of classes is out of the way, it’s time to reintroduce our much-loved programs for undergrads- Freshman Group and VERITAS Undergrad Nights.
Freshman Group is for all first year students, and meets on Tuesdays from 7pm-9pm, starting tomorrow, Sept. 30th. This program is led by upperclassmen and offers freshmen the opportunity to create a small, close knit community within the overwhelmingly large population of UW, as well as grow in faith and their relationship with Christ. Each week, the Freshman Group leaders will introduce new topics and throughout the year will offer exciting opportunities for freshmen to grow in friendship- through volunteer projects, retreats, and even bubble tea/fro-yo outings! To learn more about Freshman group, contact the Freshman Group leaders.
VERITAS is our dynamic new ministry that focuses on developing a sense of community, searching for Truth and preparing students to be true Disciples of Christ. VERITAS has two components: Undergrad Nights and Small Groups. Undergrad Nights meet every Thursday from 7:00pm-8:30pm (the first meeting is Oct. 2nd!). Each meeting will have a different main component- a guest speaker, presentation from a student or community dinner, but all will offer the chance to experience Christ through prayer, discussion and fellowship.
For up-to-date information about Undergrad Nights visit our Facebook page.
VERITAS small groups are just that- small groups of students who get together on a weekly basis to discuss a chosen topic- a Bible passage, book, or other relevant writing. Together the small group will read, discuss and pray together, building a community and relationship with Christ. This is a great opportunity for students who wish to develop their faith in a small community of peers.

Please pray for our students and ministry leaders, that they might encounter Christ and grow in community this year.
